Friends of Animals, founded in 1957, advocates for the right of animals  to live free according to their own terms.

Animal Aid is the UK's largest animal rights group and one of the longest established in the world, having been founded in 1977.We campaign peacefully against all forms of animal abuse and promote a cruelty-free lifestyle. We investigate and expose animal cruelty, and our undercover investigations and other evidence are often used by the media, bringing these issues to public attention.

The Animal Concerns Community is a project of the EnviroLink Network, a non-profit organization which has been providing access to thousands of online environmental and animal rights/welfare resources since 1991. This community serves as a clearinghouse for information on the Internet related to animal rights and welfare. 

Co-founded in 1968 by Belton Mouras and Ken Guerrero, the Animal Protection Institute (API) was one of just a handful of national humane organizations in existence. The early years were lean for API and the organization made good use of free media such as radio PSAs to get the word out about its mission to protect animals. These PSAs contributed greatly to name recognition, generated an enormous amount of requests for additional information, and aided in fundraising efforts.

Founded in 1987, United Animal Nations (UAN) is North America ’s leading provider of emergency animal sheltering and disaster relief services and a key advocate for the critical needs of animals. UAN assists animals by helping to prevent, mitigate and resolve crises. We accomplish this by sharing expertise, resources and information to empower others to help more animals.

Our mission is to end animal exploitation, cruelty, and abuse by protecting and advocating for the rights, welfare, and habitats of animals, as well as to raise their status beyond mere property, commodities, or things.

For more than a quarter-century, the Animal Legal Defense Fund has been fighting to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. Founded in 1979 by attorneys active in shaping the emerging field of animal law, ALDF™ has blazed the trail for stronger enforcement of anti-cruelty laws and more humane treatment of animals in every corner of American life. Today, ALDF’s groundbreaking efforts to push the U.S.legal system to end the suffering of abused animals are supported by hundreds of dedicated attorneys and more than 100,000 members.

This blog was created in order to bring into consciousness the sad reality of animal rights around the world in the 21st century. Currently I'm collecting every piece of information I can find regarding this subject, and put it here with reference to the origin. Migrating from Cambridge, the SPEAK campaign is to continue its role in the animal rights debate within the public and political arena through pro-active campaigning.

A campaign against the Woodland Trust's wildlife and conservation policies and its use of euphemistic language to mask its darker activities. It employs hunting agencies to shoot deer in its woodlands and describes this as "management", "intervention", "control" and "thinning out". The Woodland Trust also uses glyphosate weedkiller that, according to the World Health Organisation, "reduces the populations of beneficial insects, birds and small mammals by destroying vegetation on which they depend for their food and shelter".

The aim of NARC is to help northern groups to effectively get the message out to the public about different animal rights issues, provide an up-to-date and easy-to-use website to keep people informed about what is going on and how they can help and to provide information about various campaigns and issues. Anyone interested in getting involved in animal rights campaigns, please get in touch with us and we will put you in touch with your local group.

We organise, take part in & publicise peaceful demonstrations, leafleting & other events across Cumbria and Lancashire. We work closely with other local groups and national groups in order to be more effective. We often travel to larger events around the country. We also promote veggie and vegan diets as the most important thing anyone can do to stop animal cruelty.

The world’s first organisation campaigning against animal experiments having been founded in 1875. Millions of animals suffer and die in cruel, unscientific, and futile experiments. The NAVS advocates the prohibition of all animal experiments and, pending the achievement of this aim, we may support partial measures of reform which would provide steps towards the abolition of vivisection. Launched by the West Sussex Badger Protection Group (WSBPG), we are a political lobbying, educational, and pro active campaign. The NASC is not linked to any other organisation than the WSBPG.
